McGill Men鈥檚 Soccer Ties University of Toronto 1-1 in Preseason Opener
(VERSION FRAN脟AISE SUIT) TORONTO 鈥� The McGill University men’s soccer team opened the 2026 preseason by battling the University of Toronto Varsity Blues to a 1-1 draw in preseason action at Varsity Stadium, Thursday. The Redbirds, who had played in three scrimmages prior to facing U of T, had a 12-9 edge in attempted shots but both teams finished with six on target. Toronto, preparing to defend its 2025 OUA championship, held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks and McGill was assessed 12 of the 18 fouls called.
