MALIBU, Calif.鈥� The Bears battled the Pepperdine Waves in a hard-fought match Thursday evening in Malibu, falling 1-0 to the Waves. The Bears and Waves went into halftime scoreless after a defensive opening 45 minutes. Cal recorded five shots, including one on goal, while goalkeeper Alyssa Savig made three key saves to preserve the 0-0 score heading into the break.
