Men鈥檚 basketball adds Rodriguez to 2026-27 recruiting class
CASTINE, Maine 鈥� The Maine Maritime Academy Men’s Basketball program is excited to announce the addition of Sammy Rodriguez to its 2026 recruiting class, the second under Head Coach Cedric Gillette. Rodriguez, a 5’8″ guard from Floresville, Texas, joins the Mariners after a remarkable career at Floresville High School, where he established himself as one of the most accomplished players in program history. As a senior, Rodriguez averaged 18.6 points, 3.3 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game while leading the Tigers to another successful season in one of Texas’ highly competitive basketball classifications.
