The Evergreen State College women's cross country team has been ranked ninth in the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Preseason Poll, following a seventh-place finish at the previous year's championships. College of Idaho leads the poll, having garnered 142 points and 10 first-place votes. Sr. Alauna Carstens was a standout athlete last year, winning the CCC Championship in the 6k race and finishing fourth nationally at the NAIA Championships. Head Coach Joel Person, in his fourth season, will guide the team as they begin their campaign at the Linfield Harrier Classic on September 4.
