Braga Named CAA Preseason Player of the Year; Perez Sain Joins Her on Preseason Team
By: Stephen Gorchov Hempstead, NY - Hofstra senior Beatriz Braga was named the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, it was announced by the conference office this afternoon. In addition, Braga and junior Constanza Perez Sain both earned spots on the Preseason All-CAA Team. As a team, Hofstra was picked second in the preseason poll and garnered four first place votes. Braga earns the league's highest preseason honor after being named to the All-CAA First Team following the 2025 campaign. She was also a CAA All-Rookie Team selection in 2023.
