This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of Saint Louis University鈥檚 women's soccer program, highlighting its first inductee into the Billiken Hall of Fame, Kelly Young. Joined SLU as a walk-on in 1997, Young quickly became a pivotal player, starting all 59 of her final three seasons and leading the Billikens to their first Conference USA title in 1999. Her contributions included a strong defensive unit that ranked eighth nationally in goals against average. Young also excelled academically, earning NSCAA Scholar All-America honors in 2000. Following her playing career, she returned as an assistant coach, leading the team to multiple championships and NCAA successes.
