Mustang Golf Leads LSC in Academic Excellence
SILVER CITY, NM - Western New Mexico University student-athletes continued to make their mark in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, highlighted by outstanding performances from the Mustang golf programs as the Lone Star Conference announced its Academic Excellence Award and Academic Sport Champions on Monday. WNMU women's golf recorded the highest single-sport GPA among all LSC women's programs, posting an impressive 3.901 team GPA for the 2025-26 academic year.
