FORT COLLINS – Colorado State running back Mel Brown was tabbed to the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award, the PwC SMU Athletic Forum announced on Monday. The Doak Walker Award annually recognizes the top running back in the country and is a member of the National College Football Award Association (NCFAA), which encompasses college football's most prestigious awards.
