During the 2026 ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte, Boston College Eagles head football coach Bill O'Brien sat down and talked with ACC Digital Network's Evan Leplerand Wes Bryant. They talked about all the changes that happened in Chestnut Hill over the offseason, with 50 new players and a new defensive coordinator, Ted Roof. One of those new players is Saginaw Valley State quarterback Mason McKenzie. He threw for over 2,000 yards and ran for over 1,600 yards and was responsible for 35 touchdowns in 2025.
