Two-Goal First Half Sends NU Past MC
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.鈥� A two-goal first half lifted the Northeastern women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Merrimack on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, the Huskies improve to 2-0 on the season for the first time since 2017. Freshman Lauren Sutliffe earned a penalty kick for the Huskies and sophomore Ava Gialanella stepped up to the spot. Gialanella hammered home the eventual game-winner in the 10th minute to give NU an early 1-0 lead. Gialanella's goal was her second career goal and game-winner.
