Gold Nuggets fall in exhibition action at SELA
The official athletics site of Xavier University of Louisiana HAMMOND, La. - The Xavier volleyball team gave itself quite the test in a preseason tune-up, but the Gold Nuggets showed great fight and flashes of greatness in an exhibition loss to Southeastern Louisiana Thursday night. XULA fell in straight sets to the NCAA Division I Lions, who play in the Southland Conference, but several student-athletes registered strong performances, especially in a tightly contested second set.
