Wesleyan Mourns Loss of Softball Alumna Jenna Putala 鈥�20
Former Wesleyan softball player Jenna Putala ’20 passed away after a three-year battle with a rare form of sarcoma on Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was 28-years-old. Putala joined the Wesleyan softball team as a first-year in the 2017 season, starting 22 games while posting seven doubles, two home runs, 10 walks, and 11 RBI. Following a successful rookie season, Putala’s playing career with the Cardinals was cut short due to knee injuries.
