Late first-half goal leads Lindenwood over women鈥檚 soccer
ST. CHARLES, Mo. 鈥� Lindenwood made a late goal in the first half stand up in securing a 1-0 win Thursday night over the visiting Bellarmine University women's soccer team in the season opener. Mackenzie Compton scored with less than two minutes remaining before halftime for Lindenwood (1-0). The Lions earned the clean sheet after limiting Bellarmine (0-1) to four shots, with two coming in each half. Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Anna Jenkins collected eight saves for the Knights.
