FRISCO, Texas— Babson College first-year Vanya Bansal (Noida, India) became the first player in program history to receive All-America Scholar honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) earlier this summer. To be recognized as a WGCA All-America Scholar, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and have played in at least 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds. Bansal was one of 1,551 women’s collegiate golfers to receive this prestigious distinction.
