Alum Matthew Lowe advances to match play at US Amateur
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. 鈥� Former Spider and current New York State amateur champion Matthew Lowe has advanced to the match play portion of the US Amateur Championship after finishing two rounds of stroke play at 1-over par (141), tied for 33rd in the 312-man field. Lowe, a three-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection who led the Spiders to the 2017 A10 title, shot an even-par 70 at Philadelphia Country Club Tuesday after opening the event with a 1-over 71 at famed Merion Golf Club Monday.
