High School Sports Jump Into Full Swing Today
The high school sports year gets fully underway today across the state with the first official practices being held for all fall sports with the exception of football that got underway this last Wednesday. Volleyball, golf, cross country, soccer and girls tennis all hold their first practices today to officially start the season. Golf matches for Vandalia, Altamont and Ramsey can begin as early as Thursday but the Vandals will be the only one starting on the first day as they compete in the Battle at Rend Lake and Ramsey and Altamont will play their first matches on August 15...
