Tzouveli Places 11th at World Athletics U20 Championships
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Competing for her native Greece, Yale women's track and field first-year high jumper Olympia Tzouveli (Volos, Greece) finished 11th in the final Sunday with a jump of 1.80m at the World Athletics U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Australia's Izobelle Louison-Roe won with a jump of 1.92m. Formerly known as the World Junior Championships, the biennial event brings together more than 1,800 of the best U20 athletes in the world, representing 147 member federations. Tzouveli has a personal best of 1.85m, which she achieved while placing second at the Balkan U20 Championships last month....
