Hall of Fame coach Don Nelson dies at 86
The NBA has lost one of its most successful coaches. Don Nelson, the second-winningest coach in NBA history, has died at age 86, the Golden State Warriors announced Sunday. Nelson went 1,335-1,063 as a coach for 31 seasons with the Warriors (twice), Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks. Gregg Popovich overtook Nelson for the record in 2022.
