MELBOURNE, Fla. — Florida Tech Athletics has officially captured the inaugural Karman Clash trophy, defeating rival Embry-Riddle 18-14 in a thrilling, year-long rivalry competition that came down to the final community service calculations. With all athletic competitions wrapped up in a 12-12 deadlock, the deciding factor came down to off-the-field excellence, where the Panther scholar-athletes delivered in a big way. Florida Tech averaged 10.98 community service hours per scholar-athlete compared to Embry-Riddle's 10.69 hours per athlete.
