EUGENE, Ore - University of Dayton sprinter Simone Bessong wrapped up her impressive freshman season on Friday at the World Athletics U20 World Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The Atlantic 10's Most Outstanding Rookie Performer represented Cameroon in the 100m on Wednesday and the 200m on Friday, Bessong was unable to advance to the semifinals in the 100m on Wednesday.
