STAFFORD SISTERS REPRESENT CANADA AT 2026 COMMONWEALTH GAMES
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues cross country and track and field alumni sisters, Lucia Stafford and Gabriela DeBues-Stafford, delivered another set of stellar performances as part of Team Canada at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Competing in Glasgow, Scotland last week, Lucia captured a fourth-place finish overall in the women’s mile. After qualifying for the event final following a strong first round run on Thursday, Lucia crossed the line in a time of 4:40.46 on Friday evening to earn a Top 4 result at the international showcase.
