GCAA and PLATFORM Honor ASU Men鈥檚 Golf with President鈥檚 Special Academic Recognition
NORMAN, Okla. 鈥� The Alabama State University men's golf team earned academic recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), with the organization naming them a recipient of the President's Special Recognition, as announced Wednesday. The GCAA's President's Special Recognition was bestowed upon 88 Division I men's golf programs after the 2025-26 season, honoring teams for achieving a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Of the GCAA-record 331 schools recognized with a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, 155 schools across six divisions earned at least a 3.5 GPA last season.
