Tennis Lands Pair on VaSID All-State Second Team
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. 鈥� The Sweet Briar College tennis team landed a pair of student-athletes on the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State College Division Tennis Team. Earning honors this year were seniors Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) and Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela). Both Bovard and Guilarte were named to the team in doubles, having amassed 10 wins as a team during the 2025-26 campaign. Nine of the duo’s wins came at the No. 1 doubles spot during the dual season, including victories over conference opponents Lynchburg, Hollins, Shenandoah, Roanoke, Batten, Randolph, and Randolph-Macon.
