Northeastern State's Marvelous Owens earned an accolade from The CFBNetwork as a preseason All-American at defensive back. He is one of 28 named to the preseason list as one of the nation's top returning defenders. Owens accumulated two All-American honors in 2026 and D2Football Elite 100 Honorable Mention. For the NSU football program, Owens is the program's first All-American on defense since 2013 and the first defender to receive a First Team nod since 2010.
