5 ATHLETES, 3 COUNTRIES: VARSITY BLUES AT THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues swimming team featured four current student-athletes and one alumna, representing three different countries, all competing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland over the past week. Highlighting the Varsity Blues in the water was alumna Kylie Masse. The five-time Olympic medalist added her name to the Canadian national record books, becoming the most decorated Canadian swimmer at the Commonwealth Games. Adding gold in the 50m backstroke and silver in the 100m backstroke, Masse brought her career total to 11 Commonwealth Games medals to make her the most successful Canadian swimmer in Commonwealth history.…
