Pitchers While some of the ERAs were a tad high, it was evident several Rice baseball pitchers were able to make some progress on the mound this summer. The strikeout rates were high and several, most notably Jeremiah Arnett and Zach Fetchel, hovered around the 1.00 WHIP mark, which is no small feat. Pitching Stats Hitters The bats were equally encouraging. A quartet of .400+ on base percentage players is notable, as were the eye-popping RBI totals from Michael Zito (who hit .400!) and Masa Chilcutt.
