BRISTOL, Conn. - Toms River is known for success at the Little League World Series on the baseball side. Now the town's softball program is getting its chance. Sophia Tolentino scored the tiebeaking run on a throwing error and Gia Gatto followed with an RBI single, powering a four-run final inning rally that lifted Toms River to a 5-3 victory over Team Pennsylvania for the region championship - and a berth in the Little League Softball World Series.
