Women's Basketball | July 21 ATLANTA, Ga. – The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team earned special mention honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) on Tuesday as it announced its Academic Top 25. The 2025-26 Huskies posted a team grade point average of 3.526. It is the eighth straight year NIU had a team GPA of 3.5 or higher. Senior guard Maria Serracanta earned both Academic All-Mid-American Conference and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors this past season.
