Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina freshman infielder Marshall McGowan was named the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball (NACSB) National Hitter of the Week this week, on the heels of earning the Valley Baseball League’s North Division Hitter of the Week accolade . McGowan hit .454 last week, finishing 10-of-22, with three doubles, a pair of triples, and two home runs, amassing a 1.045 slugging percentage.
