Three Shockers Selected in 2026 MLB Draft
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State baseball saw three Shockers taken in the 2026 MLB Draft, which concluded Sunday evening. Infielder Jayson Jones heard his name called in the 8th round by the Chicago White Sox as the 225th overall pick. Right handed pitcher Brady Hamilton went in the 14th round (412th pick) to the Atlanta Braves and catcher Max Kaufer in the 18th round (537th pick) to the Texas Rangers. The Shockers have now had a player picked in 46 consecutive MLB drafts with the exception of 2020, which was shortened to just five rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic.…
