Clay Burdette Selected by the Chicago White Sox in the Seventh Round of the MLB Draft
PHILADELPHIA – Xavier outfielder Clay Burdette was selected in the seventh round in the 2026 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox, going at No. 195 overall. Burdette, a Cincinnati native and a graduate of Moeller High School, led the Musketeers and ranked third in the league with a .343 average at the plate for the season, and finished 2026 with team highs for RBIs (45) and runs scored (43).
