DURHAM, N.C. – Duke field hockey senior Alaina McVeigh was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. The Academic All-America honor is the first of McVeigh’s Blue Devil career, with the Lansdale, Pennsylvania, native recently tabbed a CSC Academic All-District selection for the second time. A two-time ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year and the team’s leading scorer the past two seasons, McVeigh has been an instrumental part to Duke’s success throughout her career.
