Panthers acquire Hathaway from Flyers for picks
Just one day ahead of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, the Florida Panthers and Philadelphia Flyers completed a trade. The Panthers acquired forward Garnet Hathaway and a 2026 sixth-round pick from the Flyers on Thursday, in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-round pick. As part of the deal, the Flyers will retain 50 per cent of Hathaway鈥檚 $2.4-million salary. He has one year remaining on his contract.
