Mines Golf Adds Bjarkason, Ellsworth
By: Tim Flynn GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines golf has announced two new additions to its squad for the 2026-27 season, looking near and far to add a pair of freshmen. The Orediggers will welcome Iceland native 脫li Bjarkason and Lakewood's Hunter Ellsworth this fall, adding to a talented young roster for head coach Tyler Kimble that includes 10 returners. Bjarkason, hailing from K贸pavogur, Iceland, comes to Golden after finishing fourth on the Icelandic junior tour last year and winning the 2024 and 2025 Icelandic Junior Team club championships.
