ALPINE, Texas – Sul Ross State University women’s basketball is announcing the addition of Jayda and Ava Mitchell (San Antonio, Texas) to the program for the 2026-27. As the second transfer additions of the offseason, they bring collegiate experience, leadership, and potential to Alpine and are expected to make an immediate impact both on and off the court. Jayda Mitchell comes to SRSU from Coastal Bend College. She started 27 of 29 games played averaging 5.93 points a game while shooting 72.7% from the line.
