Bates men鈥檚 rowing recognized for academic achievement with 21 IRCA Scholar Athletes
LEWISTON, Maine — The Bates men’s rowing team was recognized on Wednesday for their academic excellence as 21 Bobcats were named IRCA Scholar Athletes, as announced by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association. In order to be named an IRCA Scholar Athlete, rowers must be in their second year of eligibility, competed in their program’s top three boats during the current season or raced at the 2026 IRA Championship, and must have, at least, a 3.50 cumulative GPA through fall semester.
