BEDMINSTER, N.J. – Incoming Loyola University Maryland freshman Michael Asselta won the 105th W.Y. Dear Junior Championship, taking home the New Jersey state title for the second year in a row on Thursday and punching a return ticket to the U.S. Junior Amateur next month. Asselta took the final match 1-up over Eric Kim to earn a berth in the 78th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship that will be held July 20-25 at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
