Roughriders post slight $157,005 loss during 2025 championship season
The Saskatchewan Roughriders lost $157,005 last season, one in which the franchise captured its fifth Grey Cup championship. The deficit followed a profitable 2024-25 season in which the franchise finished $2.1 million in the black. The Roughriders released the results of their annual financial report Wednesday. Two factors contributed to last season's financial loss: extra expenses that came with winning the Grey Cup, as well as additional game-day costs and fan vouchers caused by the postponement of a July 11 regular-season game due to wildfire smoke.
