Tanner Mally Wins National Batting Title

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With the 2026 season concluding on Monday night, Western Michigan junior center fielder Tanner Mally has officially won the NCAA Division I Baseball batting title with a .446 batting average. Mally becomes the second Bronco to ever win the nation's batting crown, joining Bill Guerrant, who led the way with a .467 mark back in 1965. Mally has led all of NCAA Division I in batting average since early March, following a series at Akron during which he went 7-for-9 and reached base in 11-of-13 plate appearances.
