LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team announced Tuesday that Katie Simpson has transferred to UK and will be eligible for two remaining seasons in 2027 and 2028. Simpson comes to Kentucky from Seminole State College in Oklahoma. An outfielder from Columbus, Kansas, Simpson was named a NJCAA Division I First Team All-American in 2026 as she hit .450 on the season with 17 home runs, nine doubles seven triples and a .991 fielding percentage.
