UMHB names six Distinguished Scholar-Athletes; adds eight to DSA teams
BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor named six athletes as sport-specific 2025-26 Distinguished Scholar-Athletes of the Year, announced Monday. The conference also recognized a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team in each championship sport, honoring student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement while serving as a starter or key reserve for their team. Members of each sport’s Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team comprised the ballot for the overall Distinguished Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, which were voted on by the conference’s sports information directors.
