Mammoth hire Adam Foote as assistant, sign head coach Andre Tourigny to extension
It didn't take long for Adam Foote to land a new gig. The former Vancouver Canucks head coach is joining the Utah Mammoth as an assistant on a multi-year deal, the team announced on Monday. Foote joins a coaching staff led by Andre Tourigny, who signed a multi-year contract extension, the team said. The Canucks fired Foote in May after just one season in which the team finished last in the league with a 25-49-8 record. Foote, a 54-year-old Toronto native, played 1,154 regular-season NHL games as a defenceman for the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets. He...
