Michael Thomson enters his first season as the director of baseball performance at South Carolina. Thomson comes to South Carolina after working at Coastal Carolina as assistant director of speed, strength and conditioning since February 2023. He works directly with the baseball and golf programs. Thomson came to Coastal after working over two years as a strength and conditioning coach in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He worked specifically with the Orioles’ Rookie League in 2021, their High-A team in 2022, and most recently with their Double-A team in 2023.
