By: Alex Pearce, Assistant Athletic Communications Director PEMBROKE – Hard work in both competition and the classroom paid off for two UNC Pembroke student-athletes who were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization announced. Wrestling's Nick Williams and Jose Zambrano Canuto each secured a spot on the distinguished squad for the first time in their careers. Williams carries a 3.72 cumulative GPA as a Geo-Environmental Studies major, while Zambrano Canuto graduated with a 3.668 GPA and a degree in Criminal Justice.
