Saltillo鈥檚 Lynley McCarley named Mississippi鈥檚 Gatorade girls soccer POY
Saltillo's Lynley McCarley has been selected as the Gatorade Mississippi Girls Soccer Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season, Gatorade announced on June 18. The 5-foot-8 senior goalkeeper led the Tigers to a 24-4 record this season and a fourth straight MHSAA Class 6A state championship, with a 2-0 win over Long Beach. McCarley earned MVP honors in the title game. McCarley was credited with 22 shutout performances this year and also scored five goals. She allowed only five goals all season.
