Rook named to All-Region defensive team
Emily Tallis GREENSBORO, N.C.–Westminster rising junior Tom Rook (Clarence Center, N.Y., Clarence) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Region 7 All-Defensive team Thursday afternoon. The teams were voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America and Coach of the Year Committee. Rook, a shortstop, was named First Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) on May 13. He made 38 starts this season and hit .338 with six doubles, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
