Rettler Named Second Team CSC Academic All-American
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Clare Rettler of the Carthage softball team has been named Second Team Academic All-America, which was announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. Rettler, a senior from Appleton, Wis., excelled both on the softball field and in the classroom. As the starting center fielder and lead-off hitter for the Firebirds, Rettler earned All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, as well as being named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year and First Team All-CCIW.
