IceDogs Take it to the Max
By Cameron Kelcey Kingston, Ont - The Niagara IceDogs selected defenseman Max Lappan ninth overall in the first round of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore. Lappan spent the 2025-2026 season playing with the Honeybaked 15u AAA where he tallied 132 points in 89 games. IceDogs scout Sean Lafortune describes Lappan as a, 鈥淲ell-rounded, two-way defenseman.鈥� He goes on to say: 鈥淗e鈥檚 incredibly smart and incredibly effective at both ends of the ice.
