Generals select Kane Cloutier first overall in 2026 OHL Draft
This year's first overall pick in the OHL Draft is the son of a former NHL goaltender. Forward Kane Cloutier was selected first overall by the Oshawa Generals on Friday night. He is the son of Dan Cloutier, who played 351 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Kings. The younger Cloutier spent the 2025-26 season with the USHL's Vaughan Kings (U16 AAA), recording 32 goals and 26 assists for 58 points in 33 games.
