Forcucci Tabbed Canisius Female Rookie of the Year
Canisius women's lacrosse midfielder Ella Forcucci has been chosen as the 2025-26 Canisius Female Rookie of the Year, athletic department officials announced on Friday. Forcucci was selected in a fan vote conducted on GoGriffs.com. The other finalists were Madi Cowan (volleyball), Charlotte Keenan (cross country/track), Jaslynn Kural (acrobatics and tumbling) and Chloe Tseros (women's soccer). A native of Orchard Park, Forcucci enjoyed a breakout freshman campaign that saw her lead the Golden Griffins in scoring as she set program records for the most goals (51) and points (67) by a first-year player.
